“We play for you, Valencia”
Cristhian Mosquera, Javi Guerra and Diego López will compete with Spain's Under-21 side
The PUMA Welcome Academy took place on Tuesday, November 3rd, a celebration of the start of the season for all those who make up the VCF Academy.
Valencia CF president Anil Murthy sent a message to all of the members of the VCF Academy, highlighting the work carried out on the footballing side -reflected by the presence of graduates in the first team-, and also the important commitment to academia.
“I want to welcome the players and the parents to the Valencia CF Academy. Unfortunately we cannot meet in person because of the COVID-19 issue, but I hope we can all be together soon.
I want to congratulate you for having chosen one of the best academies in Europe. Here we train footballers and educate people. You all have dreams of becoming Valencia CF first team players: Gayà, Lato, Jaume, Hugo, Cristian, Soler, Yunus, Kang In, Álex Blanco, Esquerdo and more have been lucky enough to have been here for many years.
Not all of you are going to experience this success of moving up to the first team. For us it is very important that your journey is one of discipline, learning and humility.
Within the VCF Academy today, we have the possibility and the requirement to work not only on a physical level, but also on an educational level, with the collaboration we have with Mas Camarena - an elite institution. We are going to demand a very complete development of our players, and I think this is very important for their future.
I hope you enjoy your years here with us, playing football and studying. Amunt Valencia CF!"
